Successful Mid-Summer Meeting

Successful Mid-Summer Meeting

The 2011 Mid-Summer Meeting wrapped up on Tuesday after two days of great meetings and socials. Members got to enjoy swapping stories on the Weld County Ag Tour bus, at the Old Farmer and Rancher Discussion Meet, and at the Centennial Village BBQ. There was great movement on policy issues at all the various committee meetings, and some differences were ironed out between Ag Commissioner John Salazar and CFB on immigration policy.

Greeley Tribune writer Eric Brown wrote up two pieces, one on the whole meeting and one on immigration. The immigration discussion was even mentioned in Lynn Bartels’ blog in the Denver Post.

As always, we had some great pictures taken at the meeting. They are posted over at the CFB Facebook page. Facebook provides a great way to display and view photos, and its a good excuse to check out the page if you haven’t already. Enjoy!
