Pedal the Plains Route Unveiled
Governor Hickenlooper today unveiled the route for the upcoming three day, Pedal the Plains bike tour. The three day, two wheeled tour of eastern Colorado will begin and end in Yuma with overnight stops in Burlington and Wray.
Described by the Governor as “Colorado’s next big cycling event,” the tour will include visitsof farms and ranches along the route, as well as historic battleground tours.
“We are proud to include these three great host communities for the inaugural ride, which will embody the spirit of the Eastern Plains and the proud culture of the region,” Hickenlooper said in a news release preceding the announcement today at the capitol.
Event proceeds will benefit The Denver Post Community Foundation as well as Future Farmers of America, 4-H and Rural Solutions.
