Senate to Hear Farm Bill Soon

Senate Agriculture Committee Chairwoman Debbie Stabenow (D-Mich.) said Wednesday that she expects the farm bill to be on the floor for consideration in June after a measure on equal pay for women is debated. Stabenow is confident that the required 60 votes will be cast to bring the bill to the floor.

Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) has said that he will bring the farm bill up as the second order of business when the Senate returns from its Memorial Day recess, according to Roll Call.
