HSUS’ Pacelle Seeks Director’s Seat on Tyson Foods’ Board
Wayne Pacelle, president and CEO of the Humane Society of the United States, is seeking a seat on the board of directors of Tyson Foods. Pacelle recently filed paperwork declaring him a candidate for election to the Tyson board.
HSUS owns some stock in Tyson Foods and frequently urges the company to modify its policies. Pacelle is seeking a seat on the board in an attempt to get Tyson to commit to a specific time frame for the phase-out of gestation stalls for sows, which the company has resisted to date.
