Pediatricians’ Group Weighs in on Organics
While organic foods have the same vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, proteins, lipids and other nutrients as conventional foods, they also have lower pesticide levels, which may be significant for children, according to the results of the American Academy of Pediatrics’ analysis of scientific evidence surrounding organic produce, dairy products and meat. Science hasn’t proven that eating pesticide-free food makes people any healthier, AAP noted in its news release about the recent study.
