Regulatory Activity
In addition to working closely with elected officials, CFB has strong ties with many state and federal regulatory agencies to insure that agriculture’s voice is heard within the rule making process.
Agencies such as the U.S. Department of Agriculture, the Environmental Protection Agency and the Department of the Interior have far reaching authority to create rules and regulations that affect the agriculture industry. CFB works with regulators to develop rules and regulations that impact the agriculture industry as little as possible.
CFB believes that regulations are important to a free, safe, and healthy America, however regulations need to be make in an open and good faith manner. CFB will always seek to make the impact of regulations as light as possible for its members and consumers.
